Here at Penultimo, we enjoy pitting Ultimo against Pyrmont, making little snide comments about Pyrmont’s uppity-ness, fakeness, and domination by a giant ugly casino.
But, sigh, we have to come clean here. In truth, we love Pyrmont. It’s gorgeous, it’s fascinating, and what’s more, it’s right next door to Ultimo.
So it is with enthusiasm, not a sneer, that we note that today is the Pyrmont Festival. Though it ought to be noted that the Pyrmont Festival is a food & wine shindig with a $15 entry fee. Hm. It all sounds very Pyrmont.
Here are the details: From 11am to 5pm (presumably starting later because of the half marathon) Pirrama Park $15, includes tasting package www.pyrmontuncorksmudgee.com
