Ultimo smasheroos
During Penultimo’s summer break, Ultimo had not one, but two car accidents that were interesting enough to make it into the slow-news summer press. On January 4 an accident was reported - a 6-car pile-up at Broadway, adjacent to UTS.
And on January 6 it was reported that a policewoman was injured in an accident (with a Mazda 2) on George Street and Ultimo Road, while the police were rushing to an alleged hold-up at a nearby newsagency. The ‘hold-up’ ended up being a false alarm.
The alleged ‘robber’ was actually pointing a plastic banana holder at the newsagent (pointing it accidentally - while buying a newspaper and checking their iPhone for emails).
