City of Sydney Council has given the go-ahead for the proposed Ultimo Community Garden.
A $10,000 Local Action Plan grant was awarded to the project.
According to Alternative Media Group reporter Simon Black,
“The Ultimo Community Garden Group is now an incorporated association with 15 members, and another 11 residents have indicated they will join on approval of the garden’s location.”
According to the proposal’s plan, the garden will retain existing trees and seating, and add granite paths, community garden beds, compost, a worm farm, and rainwater tanks. For a high res version of the plan, check this out.
