Sydney Open 2010 is on November 6 and 7 … it’s when Sydney’s lesser known architectural gems open their doors to the public. One member of Penultimo happens to be working as a Site Supervisor for Sydney Open, so we have a little inside news about the event. From Penultimo’s perspective, the BIG news is that Sydney Open has a substantial ULTIMO contingent, as well as a bit of (cough) Pyrmont too.  Ultimo’s Sydney Open sites include: The impressive and chunky industrial refurb, The Goldsborough Mort The delectable and detailed Ultimo College, TAFE The ABC Ultimo Centre - hell yeah The as-yet-incomplete Urbanest Student Housing in all its fluoro glory 9-13 Broadway - also known as UTS The site of the proposed development ‘Central Park’ (at the old Brewery site). (Penultimo is VERY interested in this site, and if we can take an hour off during our work day on November 7, we will investigate this one and report back.)
